Fruitsy Privacy Policy

Fruitsy ("the App", "we", "us", or "our"), developed by Glam Dietitian (Application ID: com.glamdietitian.fruitsy), is an educational mini-game and learning application designed for children aged 2 to 10 and their parents or guardians.

We are deeply committed to protecting the privacy of our young users and their families. Fruitsy is built with a privacy-by-design, offline-first architecture: we do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. There are no user accounts, no third-party advertisements, and no tracking analytics.

This Privacy Policy explains how the App operates, what information is stored on your device, and how parents can exercise full control over their family's data.

1. Compliance with Children's Privacy Laws

Fruitsy strictly complies with international children's online privacy and data protection frameworks, including:

  • COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act – United States)
  • GDPR-K (General Data Protection Regulation for Children – European Union & United Kingdom)
  • Apple App Store Kids Category Guidelines (Guideline 1.3 & 5.1.1)
  • Google Play Families Policy
  • DPDP Act (Digital Personal Data Protection Act – India)

We do not knowingly collect, store on servers, or solicit personal data from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in applicable European jurisdictions).

2. Information Handled Strictly on Your Device

All data created when using Fruitsy resides exclusively in local storage on your physical device (using encrypted storage, local SQLite database, and device preferences). We have no backend servers, no cloud databases, and no remote access to your device.

The information stored locally includes:

  • Child Profiles: First name or nickname, chosen avatar, and difficulty group (Tiny Tot 2–4, Explorer 5–7, Champion 8–10).
  • Game Progress & Rewards: Quiz scores, unlocked sticker book items, water drops, and virtual garden trees.
  • Parental Dashboard Analytics: Play session logs (duration, game modes, and missed fruit questions) designed to help parents observe learning patterns.
  • App Settings: Language preference (English or Hindi) and a 4-digit parental security PIN (stored securely using FlutterSecureStorage).

We never receive, transmit, or back up any of this data to external servers.

3. Device Permissions & Sensor Use

Fruitsy requests only the minimal device permissions necessary to power its interactive educational features:

A. Camera (Fruit Scanner)

  • Purpose: The "Fruit Scanner" mini-game allows children to point the camera at a real piece of fruit to recognize it.
  • Processing: Image recognition is powered entirely by Google ML Kit on-device computer vision. Video frames and photographs are analyzed in transient volatile memory in real time.
  • Zero Storage / Zero Transmission: Camera frames are never recorded, never stored in the photo gallery, never written to disk, and never transmitted over the internet.

B. Microphone

  • Status: The underlying camera plugin includes native audio bindings on iOS/Android. Fruitsy does not record, listen to, process, or transmit audio from the microphone.

C. Local Notifications (Optional)

  • Purpose: Parents can optionally set a daily reminder time for practice sessions.
  • Mechanism: Notifications are scheduled entirely by the operating system on the local device. No remote push notifications or cloud messaging services are used.

4. Third-Party Services, Ads, and Tracking

  • No Third-Party Advertising: Fruitsy contains zero advertisements. There are no banner ads, interstitials, rewarded video ads, or sponsored placements.
  • No Behavioral Tracking or Profiling: We do not use third-party analytics SDKs (such as Firebase Analytics, AppsFlyer, Adjust, or Google Analytics).
  • No Device Identifiers: We do not collect Advertising Identifiers (IDFA, GAID), MAC addresses, or IP addresses.
  • Fonts & Assets: Core audio, graphics, and illustration assets are bundled directly within the app package. Standard font rendering utilizes bundled resources.

5. Parental Rights and Data Control

Parents and legal guardians have complete ownership and control over all data stored by Fruitsy:

  1. Viewing Data: All gameplay records, practice stats, and profile details can be inspected at any time inside the PIN-protected Parents' Corner dashboard.
  2. Permanent Data Erasure:
    • Within the Parents' Corner, open Settings and select "Clear All Data" to immediately and irreversibly delete all profiles, game sessions, and garden achievements from the local database.
    • Deleting or uninstalling Fruitsy from your device automatically erases all remaining local data and preference files.
  3. Parental Gate: Access to dashboard metrics, settings changes, and external share dialogs is guarded behind a 4-digit Parental PIN.

6. Data Security

Because Fruitsy does not transmit user data across the internet, your information is protected against external network-based intercept and data breaches. Local information is safeguarded by your device's native sandboxing and hardware-level encryption.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may occasionally update this Privacy Policy to reflect app enhancements or legal updates. Any revisions will be published with an updated "Last Updated" date. Because the app does not collect contact information, we encourage parents to review this policy periodically within the app or on our website.
